Japanese Rice Wine 

Also known as Japanese rice wine, sake is, unsurprisingly, made by fermenting rice with a method that is more similar to beer brewing than distilling. This helps create a distinct drink with a mild, slightly sweet taste. 

In its most basic form, sake is often likened to a dry white wine. Sake can also be sold in varying forms, with sparkling and cloudy types available.

Sake Alcohol Content 

The alcohol content of most sake is around 15% ABV, making it slightly stronger than typical grape wine.
