Soju Drink

Soju is a clear spirit, typically around 20% alcohol, that is sometimes referred to as ‘Korean vodka’.

Traditionally, soju is made from a blend of rice and grains, although some are made with other forms of starch, such as sweet potato or wheat. 

In addition to the original, traditional soju, the drink is also available in a wide range of fruity flavours, including melon, strawberry and peach soju. 

What makes up a Soju drink? 

Soju is around 20% alcohol, compared to the usual 40% for vodka, so soju is less harsh and more neutral than other spirits. It has a slight sweetness to it, even in its most basic original version. 

Many modern brands sell flavoured soju, usually in a plethora of fruity flavours, to create delicious and refreshing drinks with an alcoholic twist.
